Citycon is looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finland and Estonia finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an international real estate company where you will be involved in a wide range of financial and accounting matters.

A key part of the role is to own and manage the collaboration with our outsourced finance partner, ensuring high quality, accuracy and efficient processes. We are looking for someone who is curious, structured and comfortable acting as a demanding counterpart while maintaining strong relationships.

Location: On-site at Citycon’s HQ in Iso Omena, Espoo

As a Financial Controller, you will

·         Manage and follow up on outsourced bookkeeping and financial support function’s activities

·         Ensure accurate accounting and high-quality financial reporting

·         Follow up AP and AR flows and purchase order process, investigate problems and support internally and externally

·         Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings

·         Support financial reporting, reconciliations and analysis

·         Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes

·         Bridge statutory and tax accounting with IFRS group accounting and business controlling

·         Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. auditors)

What are we looking for

·         Has a minimum of 3–5 years of experience from financial accounting and controlling or auditing

·         Holds a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar

·         Has solid understanding of financial accounting processes and financial systems

·         Experience in real estate business, and Workday system is considered an advantage

·         Is curious, analytical and confident in setting requirements and doing their follow-up

·         Has a continuous development mindset

·         Enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and international environment

·         Is fluent in both English and Finnish
